Steven: Calm and friendly person. Love be-ing outside , respecting the beauty of nature. Always in for a good glas of wine, enjoying the sun.

Jolien: I'm just a happy openminded girl. Besides travelling, food is my passion. I love to cook and eat (90% vegetarian)! I'm also very interested in other cultures and languages, I'd like to get to know and learn as many as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in Bornem, a small but very lovely village. Most large towns are reachable within half an hour. (Gent, Mechelen, Brussels, Antwerp,..)
We have 2 extra bedrooms, one is foreseen with a single matras, and the other one with a double floatable matras. The couch in the living room is also availble, and it's extremly comfortable.
When the wheather is fine, we mostly spend the day outside :)

We're allways in for a talk, a walk or a drink,...
Public transportation is availble nearby (train and bus) or drop off can be foreseen.

Jolien is big fan of the little cosy city of Mechelen, where I can show you around the nicest places, bars, must-sees,..
And Steven knows the city of Ghent best.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Steven used couchsurfing during backpacking through Australia and New zealand.. And it was great!!! We also hosted some people at our place several times (although this were people we met on the street or on a previous trip, and not official couch requests) -> Update: we had our first official CS guests (summer 2015)

Teach, Learn, Share

Steven: I like juggling, drawing, taking pics, cooking and going out. I could help you throwing (and cathing) 3 or more balls. I would like to learn how to play guitar and I'm allways trying to improve my photography skills.

Jolien: I could teach you to make a granny square blanket (crochet)! Or we could cook yummie vegetarian meals together :) And let's pick up a hula hoop and spin!!
