About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to stop smoking when drunk !

ABOUT ME

I am an avid traveller who was rased brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. I left Scotland in 1993 and started travelling through Europe, Russia and the Middle East. After later trips to the USA and Canada, East Africa and the Caribbean I eventually landed in Hamburg in 1997. Although I never imagined living in Germany, I was there for the last decade (!!!). After several attempts to become sensible and hold down a regular job, I decided to take the easy way out and went to university!
I finished up q very leisurely BA in Socioeconomics with emphasis on Sociology then moved from Hamburg,Germany to Panama city, Panama. And now Hopefully for the whole of 2010 (Visa Permitting!) I will be living in Bogota
To earn a living I work as a self-employed, self-taught medical translator and interpreter for the Hamburg University Hospital and I have been lucky enough to convince my boss to keep sending me the translations even when I am abroad, which makes travelling a little more comfortable...!!

I have just discovered CS, due to my age and my complete lack of knowledge of all things technical I was very suspicious of so-called "social-networking" pages...I thought they were just something for teens, and people without a life, BUT!, I must admit that CS seems to be a really cool, positive forum...a great way to meet people...I am really looking forward to getting involved...!!!

So many adventures await !

I look forward to hearing from you!

PHILOSOPHY

Kinda hard to define, but put succinctly: live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can't be that bad a host because the very first guys who surfed at my house, had such a good time that they wrote a song about me !!! How cool is that!!??
You can see it at

And by the way, if you are just too tight-fisted to pay for a hotel and/or you are not interested in meeting people....you can fuck off !
