About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make more art.

ABOUT ME

I'm a thinker and continually learning. If there is something I do not understand, I must figure it out. I like to daydream about the past and love reading about history. I'm a painter currently working on a project where people describe their living situation in 6 words. I then draw the home.

I did the grad school thing in Boston. Effing love it here. I am a non-profit Development and Marketing professional who works for a museum with a 1806 mansion and loads of sheep. I've found that the best way I can help the world is use my extroverted tendencies to pool community resources.

PHILOSOPHY

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless" Mother Theresa

"All children are born artist, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up" Picasso

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed, I've hosted, I've helped a guy hitchhike across the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to have a bad experience with this project. I have attended gatherings in Idaho (one that involved an outdoor bathtub, a great place to be during a meteor shower), met some surfing friends in Peru, had a blast exploring the east coast and New England, and met some marvelous folks in Iceland and throughout Quebec.

Interests

NPR, love it. art, the outdoors (though I am not too fond of humidity) coffee, trying coffee from every state, music, rubik's cube (I can currently complete it in under 2 minutes) learning, social justice, architecture, affordable housing, foreign language, reading, interesting tan lines, whistling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have the know how to do many types of arts and crafts. I can also teach you how to solve that troublesome puzzle known as the Rubik's cube.

I have an extensive list of games that can be played with minimal props. Such as picture telephone, Bag, finger jousting, star-tripping, mafia, 4 on the couch...

I love to learn and can often times be spotted reading wikipedia for several hours just to learn some new trivia (I am lucky to have a memory that works photographically) If you know Spanish, I need to practice. I also want to learn the French alphabet.

Any knowledge about music, art, architecture or how you came about choosing your life path would be useful for me. Some questions I wish I could ask everyone are "When are you your best self?" and "When did you realize you wanted to do what you do?"

I would like to start collecting recipes. If you have a favorite, we should make it.

I know a little about everything or at least think I do.

What I Can Share with Hosts
