About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am enjoying this summer of traveling in various islands of the Atlantic, Caribbean, and then back home in the Pacific. I love to learn and practice new languages, connect with new people, and stay active and busy... with also plenty of time to relax and appreciate life.
ABOUT ME
In the past I was more of a typical nomad, working on boats, volunteering on farms, making art, etc. Recently I've had a more settled life, and even have a cat! I'm leaving him at home for this journey though.
I like word games, stories, music, honesty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a lot, in the past for long chunks of time, but lately it's been more rare. I have hosted a little, but I didn't actually have my own place for a while. So I hope to host some more if I can, in the future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Wonderful! Couchsurfers are the friendliest people ever.
Interests
I am interested in a lot of things! I like reading novels, painting and drawing, cooking, baking, playing word games, sharing stories, doing Pilates videos from Youtube, going for hikes and bike rides.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: open-minded to all genres, from anywhere. I really like music from Mali, psychedelic music from Brazil, and sad indie music. Examples: Ali Farka Toure, Jorge Ben Jor, Adrianne Lenker.
Movies: best film I've seen recently was Triangle of Sadness. Also the Silent Twins.
Books: favorite authors: David Foster Wallace, Kazuo Ishiguro
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailing really close to humpback whales! So magical. Like being in the presence of otherworldly gods.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach artsy stuff, practice languages, maybe cook together, or just do something we've never done before.
I can also share some of my mental health knowledge, or just put it into practice through empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental listening.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, stories, books, art, anything!
I always like to contribute to the household, bring you treats once I know what you like.
