ABOUT ME
I grew up in the (air-conditioned) desert of Scottsdale, Arizona, and have most recently lived in great PNW (so dear to me!). Right now, my boyfriend and I are living and working in Taipei, Taiwan, and it's great! I don't know how long we will stay here; other goals include starting an organic farm in Missouri, learning to play the ukulele from the source (Hawaii, of course), and going to design school while living on an ecovillage -- what?! I'm still sorting out how to make sense of my varied interests and reconciling those with my convictions about life, the human condition, and the problem of capitalism.
And more: I have traveled some but not enough, of course; I first became acquainted with couchsurfing while au pairing in Lyon, France from 2009-2010. i love it! ,
the usual: I'm very interested in traveling, exploring new cultures, and meeting new people. developments: i am really interested in sustainable, self-sufficient living. sorority girl turned anarchist, my biggest dream right now is to own my own chickens, grow my own food, and live a fossil-fuel-free existence... eventually. i work currently as a farmers' market manager, but i really want to experience the other side as a grower myself! hopefully, summer will find me WWOOFing and learning lots, perhaps back in france, where i can try to improve my french (and gobble baguettes, fromage, and brioches aux pralines). i am inherently shy, but i try and overcome this and make friends wherever i go! i fancy myself an open-minded person, but there is always room for improvement. i strive to not take life too seriously, live in the moment, and laugh as much as possible. some days are more successful than others!
PHILOSOPHY
âÃâ¬ÃÅand above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. those who don't believe in magic will never find it."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i became aware of the couchsurfing concept a couple years ago, and it definitely enhanced my time spent abroad, through both my experiences with the great people who hosted me along the way (in nice, colmar, madrid, and geneva) or just the individuals i got to know over the course of an evening or a day. i have so many unforgettable memories thanks to couchsurfing and i hope to continue this trend! the world is a lovely place full of lovely people.
i have hosted a few couchsurfers since moving to tacoma in fall 2010. i made them drink tea from silly mugs and join me in volunteering on an organic farm. no word yet if they'll be back!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i have surfed and connected with dozens of surfers. i want to pay it forward by hosting y'all in the future!
