Hello everyone!! I'm Maddalena, I was born in Bologna 20 years ago but when I was 16 I moved to London. There I did A-levels and I was lucky enough to get accepted into National Youth Theatre, one of Great Britain's best theatre companies. My two great passions are acting and travelling, lately I have been volunteering in Tanzania in a small village called Ukumbi, a life changing experience. I love meeting new people and have loads of adventures.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I visit a new place, to me meeting new people is as important as sightseeing. To really get a new country you have to talk and share your life with the locals, for instance when I was in Tanzania I lived side by side with men and women that were born and raised there and I found that experience more rewarding than seeing mount Kilimanjaro.

兴趣

I love cooking, i get that from my dad who is a chef. I read a lot and I try to stay away from social media as much as i can. Theatre and movies obviously are my main interest.

Punk, rock, jazz, classical, movies soundtracks. I'm not even gonna start with movies and books cause it would take forever! But lately i've read a lot of Forster's work and i love him. If you ask me in a couple of months i'll probably tell you i'm reading Dostoevskij while watching Blood Diamonds. I like changing.

Me and my sister were the first white people to ever ride the bus that connects Ukumbi to Iringa. And I also swam completely dressed in the Indian Ocean (not sure that's amazing but i certainly thought it was quite epic at the time!)

As i said repeatedly now i value sharing as the most precious thing so i'm always ready to learn something new and to teach (although i don't particularly like that verb) if the other person is interested. Sharing is caring

I can cook almost anything and it's one of the things that makes me happy so yay! I love to discuss and share opinions so i will never turn down the opportunity to chat about anything.....seriously i love sharing!
