About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am currently exploring the country that has always been just to the south and just out of reach. I hope that in doing so I will learn more about myself.

ABOUT ME

I am a rather shy, goofy, fun loving, and easygoing person. I love vegging out with a good book or movie, or heading out to have fun with a few good friends. I'm not much of a bar or club person, but I do love to dance. So I try and frequent live music shows, to hear some good tunes and let myself loose on the dance floor.

I am a man of obsessions. Once that was computers, games, and Japanese anime culture. Now it is fine woodworking. Tomorrow, who knows? One thing I can guarantee, I will talk about my obsession. It may only be a little, but if you give me enough of a reason, I can expound upon it for hours on end. Right now I am mulling over the feasibility of setting up my own small furniture/cabinetmaking shop somewhere.
I am rather nerdy person. I enjoy learning about new things, whether they be the latest in computer technology or new ways to hack my brain. I'm having a lot of fun following the skeptics movement, so I am constantly listening to news about science in its struggle to be part of popular culture.

My new favourite thing is audio books. I discovered I can listen to them while working, so I can now get my book quota up and get paid at the same time! How cool is that?

I have recently begun to explore my interest in photography. I bought myself an older used DSLR and I have been having a lot of fun taking pictures of anything and everything. I particularly like taking pictures of buildings.

PHILOSOPHY

To live my life with as little negative impact to those around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I will do my best to enrich the lives of the people who put me up. Eventually, once I have landed myself, I will put up people on my own couch. I'm new to the CS scene.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but I look forward to meeting some interesting people!

Interests

I am interested in a lot of different subjects. I am a woodworker foremost, a computer geek second. I enjoy reading most anything, but I prefer sci-fi/fantasy. I love music, I wouldn't be able to survive without it. I spend most of my time listening to Indie music, but I like everything except pop country and super pop.
