Hi! We are Maddi and Neretxu, two friends from Zumaia, both 32 years old. Our friendship has been a constant in our lives since we were little. Although in recent years distance has separated us physically, we've always maintained a strong bond. This trip to Croatia is a perfect opportunity to reconnect, share adventures, and create unforgettable memories together.

We consider ourselves sociable, open, and respectful people. We love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. We highly value mutual respect and adapt easily to various circumstances and the people around us. We enjoy good conversations as much as quiet moments of reflection.

Bok! Mi smo Maddi i Neretxu, dvije prijateljice iz Zumaie, obje imamo 32 godine. Naše prijateljstvo je konstanta u našim životima od malena. Iako su nas posljednjih godina udaljenost fizički razdvojila, uvijek smo održavale snažnu vezu. Ovo putovanje u Hrvatsku savršena je prilika za ponovno povezivanje, dijeljenje avantura i stvaranje nezaboravnih uspomena zajedno.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we believe that the best way to know a place is through its people. We want to explore Croatia beyond what the tourist guides show, and we think staying with locals will allow us to discover the true essence of the country.

Additionally, we love the idea of sharing experiences and learning from our hosts. We hope to exchange stories, laughter, and good times. For us, this trip is not only an opportunity to reconnect as friends but also to broaden our horizons and make new friendships along the way. We are very excited about this adventure and grateful for the possibility of being welcomed into your homes.

Na Couchsurfingu smo jer vjerujemo da je najbolji način da se upozna mjesto kroz njegove ljude. Želimo istražiti Hrvatsku izvan onoga što turistički vodiči pokazuju, i mislimo da će nam boravak kod lokalaca omogućiti da otkrijemo pravu bit zemlje.

Također, volimo ideju dijeljenja iskustava i učenja od naših domaćina. Nadamo se razmjeni priča, smijeha i dobrih trenutaka. Za nas ovo putovanje nije samo prilika za ponovno povezivanje kao prijateljice, već i za proširenje naših horizonata i sklapanje novih prijateljstava na putu. Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music. I love putting Spotify on shuffle and discovering new artists. I also really enjoy small live concerts that are often organized in our area. Above all, I love getting music recommendations. I don’t have a favorite movie, but I’m very impressionable; almost anything can move me. I enjoy romantic comedies as well as cult films that I don’t fully understand. I was deeply impacted by "The Inhabited Woman," and I generally love any novel by Isabel Allende. One of my favorite books is a Basque novel called "Jenisjoplin."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A special trip I took was to Colombia a few years ago with two friends. I also highlight the solo trip I took to Paris. Both experiences allowed me to learn about different cultures and discover a lot about myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many interests. I studied law, then criminology, and now I work in the field of communication. I’m a very curious person, driven by injustices. Currently, I’m taking a course on documentaries because I love getting to know people up close and sharing their experiences. With my background, I can offer a deep and thoughtful perspective on various social and cultural issues. I love listening to others' stories and helping them find ways to share their own experiences. I can provide enriching conversations, an openness to learning, and a great curiosity about the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A very local experience. I love traveling but am also very attached to my hometown. Therefore, I can offer a very immersive, close, local, and real experience. I enjoy sharing stories and teaching others about my culture and traditions.
