About Me

Let's put it this way, I am obsessed with travel! If I'm not traveling, I'm saving up to travel.

After living in London for a while and being away for 2.5 years, I've recently returned to Australia! Before that I lived in Sydney for a while and I grew up in a small town a couple of hours from Sydney.

I love meeting new people, seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, tasting new foods, listening to and discovering music! You name it!
I'm also a huge animal lover. I used to work at a horse riding stables and have my own horse.

I would describe myself as a relaxed, caring, adventurous and friendly person.

I strive to be as open minded as possible. I like to learn about new things. I want to travel the world, and eventually fall into a career where work is not a chore. I'm a happy person and I do my best to pass this happiness on to others :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always looking to meet people and make friends! Yes I believe that hostels are great, and I do enjoy staying in them, but I also think that Couchsurfing is a brilliant way to meet locals and other travellers.
I find it really exciting and valuable to meet locals. You become less of a tourist when you share info with them :) this is why I hope to Couchsurf more often.

I'm tidy, happy to help with household jobs and am respectful of other peoples person space, belongings and alone time and hope that my host will be the same in return - of course most of the time I would be keen to hear stories or travel advice or just chat or drink wine/beer or whatever!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love various different types of genres of music, and am on Spotify daily. Music festivals and live music events are something I always enjoy, whether I know many artists or not.

I don't watch movies very often but I do enjoy it when I get the chance.

I find it difficult to read when I'm busy, so my favourite time to pick up a book is when I'm traveling or on holidays. Some good books I've read recently are Marching Powder by Rusty Young / The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman / The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.

Will happily take in any suggestions for music/movies/books that you may recommend (I've got a huge long list of recommendations from people already)

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach people how to ride horses, such a wonderful thing.
I'd like to teach people English - something I'd be more than willing to do with a host.

I'd like to learn Spanish and eventually be fluent. I have taught myself a very basic level but find it hard to keep up the practise when I'm not in a Spanish speaking country.

I enjoy cooking and sharing meals at home or out. I can talk about my adventures while travelling and share many, many photos.
I will ask questions! I like to hear stories and learn new things from people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories, company, carefree nature, a helpful hand around the house, cook a meal, practise speaking english.
