I’m new to this website but not new to traveling or hosting/being a guest by any means.

My name is short for Madeline. I grew up surrounded by the Wasatch mountains in Utah and while the desert will always feel like home, I am looking to explore any coast. I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness + Communications and was working in marketing when I bought a camera and taught myself photography. Have worked as a commercial photographer the past four years, doing stock and marketing photos for a few commercial brands. I personally love photojournalism and documentary work and if that paid anything I would do that. Before (and during the freelance hustle) my curiosity led me to a lot of different jobs. I have worked for a couple of non profits, was barista at a coffee shop, was a nanny and house sitter, got trained as a doula (birth assistant) and have worked as an EMT in the trauma center of Utah's University Hospital.

I love learning new things and am here to get to know other people’s realities and build connections.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am always looking for the balance of routine and community with traveling and meeting new people. I am hoping to move outside of Utah and want to travel around a bit more and get a better idea of where i'd like to live for a time being. I am hoping to travel anywhere with access to an ocean.
