About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create as many amazing memories as possible and to always have a story to tell.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty laid back person, I love traveling and can't wait to start my next big adventure! I love meeting new people and sharing a drink and some stories, I feel like there's so much to learn from hearing from other people about their experiences. I'm a hippie at heart, I would be content trekking around the world with just a backpack and a journal to remember it all by.

PHILOSOPHY

If not now, when?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent six weeks in the Spring of 2011 backpacking and couch surfing through many countries in Western Europe. Since being back in Atlanta I have not had the opportunity to meet other couch surfers or to host. I'm now living by myself, which means I get to make the decision to open my home to my fellow couch surfers!! If I'm unable to host, I still hope to meet new people and show them around Atlanta and give them ideas of what there is to see and do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, and Venice. I was able to connect with other couch surfers all through Greece, Munich, and Amsterdam. I was able to have the trip of a lifetime thanks to my hosts and friends I met along the way.

Interests

Languages, travel, science/psychology, cooking, dance (specifically pole dance and any of the aerial arts), yoga, ultimate frisbee, convening with nature, relaxing with a good book.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
The Glitch Mob, Portugal, The Man, Michal Menert, Pretty Lights, Rx Bandits, Tool, Beastie Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, alt-J, Wax Tailor, Odesza, The Weeknd, Wale, The Underachievers, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, C2C, and many, many more....

Movies:
Finding Neverland, Tropic Thunder, Kill Bill (anything Tarantino, really), Super Troopers, Bernie, The Town, Stardust, Machete, Serenity, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Catch Me If You Can, Almost Famous....

Books:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 weeks backpacking/couch surfing through 12 cities in Europe, from London to Thessaloniki and back, traveling by myself for nearly all of the journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can help with English, basic cooking skills, dance/yoga/flexibility, pole dance & tricks (I have a pole installed in my apartment).

Want to learn:
Any language! Being able to say basic phrases/exchange pleasantries at least :)
I'd like to better my cooking skills- I've got the basics, but don't know how to be inventive (or cook certain things without a recipe).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Atlanta Native- I know the city very well and am intimately familiar with using MARTA (Atlanta's "rapid transit" service).

Dining recommendations- From the best (and most expensive) fried chicken in the city to cheap and tasty sandwiches with a Jack n Coke slushie, I have your food cravings covered.

If there's a specific event that you're attending, chances are I know some people that are also going if you're looking for more connections in the city.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Spain, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
