About Me

I'm trying to travel as often as I can, but that can be difficult when you have school, so lately I've been taking weekend trips to New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Austin. I'm a huge foodie, I love to try all different types of foods, even if they are considered "weird" to others.

PHILOSOPHY

Be open to new things, never get to comfortable with your routine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much love all types of music. My music taste ranges from bachata, to jazz, to edm! I love going to concerts and seeing bands play live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a study abroad in Guatemala for a month. We started off in Antigua continued on until we ended up in a town called Chajul. I was able to stay with a family there for a night, learn to "weave", wear their traditional dress, and take some beautiful hikes when I was there.

I spent two months in Costa Rica learning to speak spanish and surfing! I jumped off waterfalls, zip-lined, saw sloths, did a lot of surfing, saw volcanoes, swam in the hot springs, canoed, rafted, and ate a ton of great fruit :)

Teach, Learn, Share

-New Orleans has the best culinary food in all of the US (my humble opinion). They have cajun food, creole food, and a ton of different things to try. Some popular dishes I've tried (and loved) would be gator, frog legs, and jambalaya.

-In London we went on a pub-crawl, and I will never forget that night! The tour guides are nice and get you into so very...interesting pubs!

-In Ghana they are notorious for trying to make you pay more than is needed at the markets in Accra. Always haggle.

-Any questions about travelling in Costa Rica...just ask!

-Pretty much the one thing I've learned during my travels is don't judge it until you try it, at least once. That goes for activities, food, and places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook, so I can try to cook a good ole southern meal for you. I love learning about different cultures, and I would love to teach you about mine. If you are trying to learn English we could work on that a bit too!

Here's my facebook link....add me if you think we could meet up during your or my travels!
