About Me

We are a divided world and travelling to meet each other and share our lives is the best way of showing governments that nation borders are irrevelant.

My main ambitions in life are to travel and see the world, be happy and show happiness. I am a medical student living in London; I have been here for 5 years now and I'm ready to leave already! :) I have lived in the North of England too which was great. Meeting and laughing with new people is my favourite thing about parties so maybe I could just turn my life into one massive party no?!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is very easy to dismiss the kindness in the world and concentrate on the stories that fill our media. A community such as this demonstrates that we can dismiss the 'fear' surrounding difference; explore it and embrace it.
Unfortunately I have not been lucky enough yet to travel and see many countries of the world; this is where I know I will learn the most about people, rather than in medical school!
I am excited to start my journey, to host, to be hosted; but mainly make friendships and memories.

Interests

I am very interested in Global Health - while this may sound boring I promise you its not! But when I am not being boring about global health I love to watch films (especially a good documentary), explore the beautiful city of London with my beautiful friends and also write comedy sketches with my university comedy society.
Fashion has always been a love for me and living in (arguably) the most stylist city in the world is a constant treat. The expression of clothing and fabrics should be cherished and celebrated. I love to thrift and vintage because if it has a button missing it means not only can I choose a new button to sew on but that hopefully the missing button is off living a great life on another cardigan.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music makes me lose control... or a good song can anyway. I listen to music everyday and love to go and watch live gigs. Range from old classics, Simone, Fitzgerald, through to Motown, can't beat Bob Dylan but love to dance to almost anything.
Movies - have a penchant for independent and underground films, love a good subtitle and an interesting character! Pedro Almodovar, John Hughes - especially Breakfast Club.
Books - Franny and Zooey - JD Salinger is my favourite at the minute.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Directed a sell-out run show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (I am making it sound more impressive than it is... the venue was 55 seats... but still eh!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am quite good at card games so can share this with anyone interested. I also love to cook and bake so will definitely russle up some goods! I am one of six so cooking for many is no problem :)
A good debate about global health is always fun (or I will try to make it so) and I like to hear others views so I promise I won't dominate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My enthusiasm to see the world, my love of a healthy globe :) and laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited
