Hola! I'm Maddy from Melbourne, Australia. For the past 4 years I have been travelling, volunteering and working outside of Melbourne. I am currently doing my best to see what beautiful Latin America has to offer! I have couchsurfed mostly in Asia and Europe and I'm excited to be backpacking again. I have been a youth worker in Northern Australia, an English teacher in Vietnam and Portugal - but for me, travel is life! Excited to learn Spanish and see what comes next.. ayudarme con mi español?

I love nature, to be in and amongst the trees is my absolute favourite. I love to go hiking and camping. I am food obsessed and love to eat and cook all the (vegan) food I can get my hands on!
I love talking to people over a cup of tea or a glass of wine to gain a new perspective on things I might not have thought about before. Travelling has changed my life and I always remember the people I meet along the way, which is the most important part.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm an incredibly sociable person and love to meet new people and exchange stories. I think it's a great way to travel and actually learn about the place you're visiting from the people who live there. No one has a better insight into a city/place than the people who live there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love lots of genres of music but 90´s hip hop and jazz is my absolute favourite. I love going out dancing to house/deep house/electronic/trance/psytrance music, but love kicking back to all kinds of stuff - rock, reggae, funk, soul, etc.
