I'm on the beatific journey, on the Road, the destination somewhat unimportant...seeking new places to dance and new people to dance with, new favourite foods, new wine to love, new places to call home.

ABOUT ME

I am a on the search for the ecstatic joy of pure being, always impatient to start the next adventure. I have never left Australia and have always dreamed of this journey, which will answer so many questions...for instance, What is so good about French wine? What goes on at a Portuguese doof? How do you make pasta like an Italian? Where do you find the perfect espresso in every country in the world?...ect. I undertake this journey with my love, looking for myself in places I have never been, and forming my identity and my love for my sense of place on the way.
I love music, literature, yoga, and people of all cultures....

PHILOSOPHY

I am sure the only way to live in the world is to have an idea in the world, and I'm in the process of forming my idea. I live to share experiences and to see new and beautiful things, I hope I can reflect them creatively. I am always seeking to better myself, taking the best parts of everything I learn and using them to form an all inclusive philosophy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am on my first CS assisted journey, but when we get home I hope to have a couch on which to accommodate Surfers!
Until them, I am of No Fixed Abode, with my life in my backpack and tent.

Interests

I love finding new music in strange places, or finding new uses for things I already have. I love to learn, and I am very interested in sharing things I can do with others, which someday I hope will result in a network of shared recipes, music, and words. I love to dance in fields, climb trees, blow bubbles, build cubby houses, and do yoga with my toes in the sand.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Kerouak, my favourites are On The Road, The Dharma Bums, and Big Sur. I also love Gutterson's books, and I'm in the process of loving Hunter S even more than I do. I loved Clarissa Pinkola Estes' Women Who Run With the Wolves, it really spoke to my idea of the Feminine. I love poetry, I love giving people who aren't poetry people Ginsberg's Howl and watching it seep in to their bones. I also love Fairy Tales!
Tori Amos is my ultimate superfavourite musician, and I love Joni Mitchell and Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young), Billy Bragg, Ben Folds, The Shins, Animal Collective, Bjork, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, The Books, The Flaming Lips, Colin Hay, Darren Hanlon, Flying Lotus, Spoonbill...I could go on forever, but my taste is broad and I'm sure I'd run out of space!
I love films which connect with my inner child, I adore Disney, Miyazaki, and I love to be moved.

Teach, Learn, Share

As above, I'd love to learn how to make things grow, how to cook dishes specific to different regions, cook vegan/organic meals, and more about people's personal philosophies. In return, I can bake you my Nanna's Rock Cakes that were my favourite as a kid! I also just found the most amazing recipe for peanut butter cookies that are pretty amazing drizzled with melted chocolate...
