ABOUT ME

I'm a computer hacker, a nerd, a geek. I love playing with computers, find it hard not to live an online life next to my real life.

Although I dislike fast things and tight spaces, I love to travel (airplanes though... meh) and things like diving (those wetsuits are *tight*).

I'm self-employed based in the Netherlands working in IT, I can pretty much do my work all over the globe, hurray for the Internet Age.

PHILOSOPHY

- Madness is a way of life, not just a state of mind.
- If you wait long enough, any problem, however difficult or bad will solve itself. (although possibly not in a way you would prefer)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to travel a lot. I traveled a little and now I want to travel a lot. So I will need places to stay, people and things to see and stories to hear. I expect to provide the same for other people in return, so, quid pro quo, I sleep on your couch, you can sleep on mine ;)

Besides surfing with friends outside of CS, I've surfed in New York, Philadelphia, Toronto and Boston

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed before I knew about couchsurfing.com, but the website makes arranging things and checking out people so much easier :)

Stayed with some people in New York, Philly, Washington, Austin and San Francisco on a couple of trips through the US.

Interests

Computers, travelling, reading, going to the movies, good food, photography, I have to admit that I also love to discuss my personal ethics and views on religion, so, if you do too, go ahead, if you don't, don't start with me ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Dune (the books and the movie), Arthur C. Clarke scifi, The day of the jackal (the book and the original movie with Edward Fox).

Niagara falls are still a truly magnificent site.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to juggle three balls. I can give you some simple Dutch lessons (not that good a teacher I'm afraid :))
