About Me

I'm a journalist, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and radio correspondent constantly looking for excuses to travel.

I'm also a long-distance cyclist, certified diver, hates heights but loves mountains. And by the end of most trips, a broke backpacker.

I love to hike, climb, cycle, run, swim and do yoga. And, of course, share stories. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see places through the eyes of those that live there + share in the experience by hosting others myself as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is hard because every year brings a new opportunity.

Earlier this year (2016) I climbed a 4,000m peak in the north of Pakistan just to interview a couple of Austrians who were holding a skiing camp for the locals near the Pak-China china. And I did this in the winter when the temperature would dip to -23C.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being a journalist/editor is a full-time job. The people that I have hosted/been hosted by have sometimes ended up being quoted in my articles (with permission) or have contributed to the paper I work for.

This is one of contributions:
