About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Rekindle my love for travel and meeting new people. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve done any couch surfing type travel and it’s something that I miss.
ABOUT ME
I love adventures, big and small. My favorite way to travel is through Wwoofing (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). I love visiting places and staying with locals to really get a feel for what life is like there. I grew up on the edge of a national forest in California, off grid and an hour from the nearest town and seeing how people interact with and are influenced by their natural surroundings has always been interesting to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been active on Couchsurfing, but back in the day I mostly used it for its community and hangout feature and occasionally as a guest for last minute stays while traveling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have some experience as a Couchsurfing guest and more experience of meetups. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been active here and I recently reactivated my account to see what’s changed. I have much more experience with Wwoofing, which is quite like Couchsurfing, but with farming involved.
Interests
I'm a belly dancer and creator of things that usually involve yarn. I love reading and learning about pretty much anything. I’m currently learning about sound healing and meditation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite travel story happened when I was traveling alone in Italy in the days before smartphones. My train had been delayed and I ended up in Pisa in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. After wandering aimlessly through downtown trying to find a hotel I came across a group of women chatting and laughing outside an icecream parlor. As luck would have it they were an English language class celebrating after their exam and instead of pointing me in the direction of a hotel they decided that one of them would take me in for the night. She also gave me a wonderful little tour of the city the next morning and helped me change my train ticket. I have always been amazed by the kindness of strangers and how easy it is for two people from different places, speaking different languages to understand each other and have a good time. It is a wonderful thing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always happy to share my experiences traveling and living in different countries. I also have random skills in things like knitting and spinning, belly dancing, and am currently learning about sound healing.
