About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore, procrastinate, and figure out my life!!
ABOUT ME
I'm kind of a free-spirit. I love to have fun and go on any kind of adventure. Some of my loves in life include rock-climbing, bellydance (and any kind of dance!), Tango, reading and writing, music, festivals, performance art, cinema, language learning, gardening and lots more. I have a pretty fun and laid-back job as a chocolatiére, and I've been learning for two years the art of making European style confections. I'm studying European History and Anthropology in school, and eventually hope to complete my PhD in Ethnochoreology (the study of dance in culture). I also plan on pursuing Culinary Arts and Pastry in both the US and abroad. So far life has been good, and my plans have been going smoothly...
PHILOSOPHY
Love the mediocre and cherish the best.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been traveling since I was a little girl, and I think it's so mind-opening and essential to understanding the world that we live in and its diversity. However, I realize that many people can't afford to pay the costs of room and board in other countries or even in their own, and I think projects like couchsurfing are fantastic in that they enable everyone to travel. I want to offer people a place to stay and help them see the beauty of the area I live in, and I want to experience different countries on a personal level.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh, so many.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in a very dangerous part of Cameroon, Africa, where we weren't allowed outside our yard because of a political conflict going on in the city. In Chad, I had the privilege of living in a Muslim community with my parents, and I later grew up in a small Chadian village.
Last year I met a Guatemalan band and made a music video with them when I ran out of money. That was kind of a wild adventure. They treat me like a celebrity now!
I saw the Tikal ruins in Guatemala last year; that was pretty amazing.
I also climbed an active volcano in Guatemala one week before it erupted. The rock was so hot it melted my shoes!
Teach, Learn, Share
Chocolate making! I can show you what I know about this wonderful and delicious art and give you a tour of the local chocolate shop where I work.
Bellydance! I've been bellydancing for 3 and 1/2 years, and I know the basics pretty well. I can take you to a couple of awesome classes in town.
I'd love to learn just about anything, but especially dance and history. Museum reccommendations would be awesome!
