About Me

I love travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I finished my bachelors in political sciences and I’m generally interested in politics, human rights and international relations. I'm currently living in Ghent, Belgium where I'm doing my masters in Global Studies.
I love partying, concerts and festivals but at the same time I also enjoy having a relaxed evening with interesting conversations/deep talk while drinking a glass of wine (I also love coffee!). I’m always down to try out new things and engage in spontaneous activities. I´m open-minded and tolerant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m convinced that couchsurfing is the best way to travel. I realized that I learn the most about the country, its culture and people when I´m doing couchsurfing. I´m always interested in getting to know more about the person I´m staying with, what they are doing in their free time and their political opinion. When you are on couchsurfing you always learn many interesting facts, get insider tips and information and experience things you would never experience if you would stay in a hostel or hotel. I feel like there are so many interesting individuals here on couchsurfing. At least the couchsurfers I´ve met so far were mostly really inspiring and I could learn a lot about their countries. Thanks to Couchsurfing I´ve met so many inspiring and fun people and went to many cool places I would have never seen if it wasn’t for couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m kind of listening to everything a little bit. I suck at describing the genres I listen to. We should definitely exchange playlists when we are meeting up! I love getting to know new music!!
I love Amapiano, Afro House, Indie, Alternative, Pop, Afro Electro, Techno, Rock, House
Some of my fav artists: Glass Animals, Dope Lemon, Sia, DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Da Capo, Zakes Bantwini, The Temper Trap, Bicep, Bonobo and OK KID

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Swaziland/Eswatini and working at the National Commission for UNESCO in Mbabane (German volunteer service kulturweit). Swaziland feels like my second home now.

Going on a trip to several Southern African countries (Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe) in 2019. In Zambia I did the bungee jump at the Victoria Falls (even though I’m kinda afraid of heights :D)

Studying in Aix-en-Provence in France. I love the Southern part of France!

Teach, Learn, Share

Usually, I’ll try to cook for you /and or bring a little something with me to thank you. If I ask to stay with you/let you stay with me I’m interested in spending time with you and getting to know you. If it is possible I love to spend time with you or at least have conversations with you. Since I have celiac disease (allergic to gluten) and I´m a vegetarian, I always try to bring food with me when I’m staying at your place. I will follow your rules and try to make sure that my stay with you/ your stay with me will be as pleasant as possible.
