Hello! I'm Madeleine, I'm studying design in Sydney and I love travelling and meeting interesting people! I'm a friendly, easy-going person and I love spending time with people and having honest, interesting conversations. I really like ironic humour and laughing! In my free time I like to cook, be creative (whether that's photography, design, painting...) be outdoors hiking, cycling or running.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace and love! But seriously... I think the world focuses too much and material possesions and too little on experiences. I'm a Christian and believe in God but don't force my beliefs on anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010 when I couchsurfed in Europe for the first time I was overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality of strangers. I've experienced some comfy and not-so-comfy couches and floors, but everywhere I've been met with a smile and interesting conversation.

At first I had my doubts about couchsurfing but I've come to realise people should trust other people more. I think the world would be a better place if everyone had the attitude of some couchsurfers, the world could do with a little more trust!
To hosts I can offer interesting conversation, to share about my culture and experiences, give some photography or design tips, organise your house (I'm very good at organising :) ) and maybe cook you a meal!
