About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a clinical neurophysiology technologist in Rochester, MN, traveling around whenever I get the chance. My partner and I live in SW Rochester, MN, in a townhouse with a guest room available and a cat and a dog, who are like children to us. I work overnights and Tyler works days, so there is usually one of us around - I tend to sleep about 4-5 hours a day in the mornings after I work, so I do request some quiet time in mornings :)

PHILOSOPHY
I want to pursue things that fulfill, challenge, and complete. I believe traveling to new places helps create a better awareness, understanding, and sense of responsibility toward the life around us. I don't adhere to a religion; I believe heaven is here, now - this moment, this place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tim Burton films, A Room With A View, The Great Gatsby, Star Wars, Firefly, Arrested Development

Recently I read 'Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change' by Pema Chodron and it is the one book I can honestly say changed my life. I like some Haruki Murakami, having read 'Dance, Dance, Dance', '1Q84', 'The Wind Up Bird Chronicle', and 'Kafka on the Shore'. I enjoy mysteries, science-fiction, and fiction, but I predominately read non-fiction. I am looking for recommendations on more fiction pieces :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Moravia, a group of us walked through old caves with stalagmites and stalactites from before humans were even on earth. I also spent a couple weeks in Corsica, France a few summers ago - the bluest sea to walk to just minutes from the lovely house in which I stayed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I LOVE when people share their music preferences with me - I think it says a lot about a person when they're willing to open themselves up to others in that way. Music can be a very personal experience and I always respect and appreciate that.
