CURRENT MISSION

I'm planning a trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway with a couple of friends and am also in the process of applying to teach English in Asia (preferably Hong Kong) with the Oxbridge charity scheme, OSCA.

ABOUT ME

I'm genuinely interested in getting to know other people. I try not to just bustle over others' thoughts and opinions in a race to tell them my own. I love learning about, well...anything. And, because this all sounds so pretentious, it should also be mentioned that I love all things hyper, manic and fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm young enough not to have one set in stone as of yet, but for the moment getting to know myself a bit better is a high priority.

Absolutely none, but it sounds exciting.

Interests

Primarily film. I love reading about it, making it, reviewing it, talking about it and, of course, watching it. In short, I think it's just dreamy.

I also like reading (kind of a prerequisite for my course), travelling (self-explanatory), walking/hiking/trekking (even if quite unfit) and more philosophically...just learning about myself (cheese alert!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Listing things I can listen to, watch or read repeatedly...

Movies: 'Amelie', 'Forrest Gump', 'Virgin Suicides', 'Memento' (or most Nolan, really), 'Mulholland Dr' (or most Lynch)...there are so many more that I may as well stop now.

Music: Radiohead, Belle and Sebastian, Silver Mt. Zion, Elliott Smith...again, a ridiculous amount to impart here, so I won't even try.

Books: Embarrassingly most Douglas Coupland novels, most Woolf, Douglas Adams etc. etc. - the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen: Leh/Manali highway (second highest road in the world) in India.

I guess I'm rather good at writing, reading and speaking English...and could perhaps help others in these areas. Also, I'm interested in practicing my German and Spanish, both of which I'm semi-fluent in.
