About Me
Hi! This is me, Madelief. I guess that my picture is quite representative: A big enthousiastic smile. Actually it should be a short movie, so I could dance around a bit. I like happy dancing.
The beach on the picture is on the other hand not that representative, you will rather find me sitting around in a park with friends or travelling somewhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last year I met someone on a conference and he invited me to visit Japan. It was only because I started a small talk, which turned into big talk and some serendipity. Serendipity means a "fortunate happenstance" or "pleasant surprise". It comes to you when you least expect it. That's why I always start small talks when I travel by train. Everybody has a story.
That's why I like Couchsurfing, it makes serendipity do her work. Meeting awesome people by chance and listening to a story which otherwise would never change the way you see things around you.
Interests
For some reason, I am always on the go. That means I already know where I would like to go next year. I hope to visit Japan!
However, I need my time, so that I can write about what I see. I love writing. I would love to write a book once.
I find some magic in pictures of trivial things and learning to play the ukulele.
