About Me
Hello!
My name is Madeline and I'm a young professional currently based in Phoenix, AZ working at Arizona State University. For undergrad, I studied biology, history, and Russian. I was recently accepted to a Masters program in Australia that will start spring 2022.
I love to travel, often solo, and to make friends where I go. In the last four years, I've traveled across Russia, Japan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Norway, the UK, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany.
I like to say that I'm an easy guest because I'm small and travel light--I don't need a lot of space. I am always happy to share conversation and adventures with my hosts, but I am also perfectly content to take care of myself :)
I have had amazing experiences couch surfing abroad! I have also used this app when I was visiting Portland and Seattle. In every situation, I have become long term friends with the people that I met. I wish I could be hosting, but right now I have roommates who are not willing to host travelers. Someday!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have really enjoyed the relationships I made couch surfing, and I think it's one of the best ways to engage with people in a new city. I feel much safer traveling alone when I have a personal connection to my hosts.
