ABOUT ME

I live in the country and love to garden and keep bees; Its so great to wake up to the sounds of nature. I work and enjoy my work but its not the central focus of my life now. Enjoy my rural alternative community, family and friends; Love to host dinner parties and house concerts as community fund raisers.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest - this doesn't have to be wild and extravagant mostly to me means just appreciating the beauty and goodness in each day and each person. Take opportunities when they present themselves and make the most of it; they are gifts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to CS summer 2012; But informal CS in my younger day - hitchhicking in the Martine provinces of Canada, Switzerland; and Southern Africa.

Interests

Travel; languages, nature, being physical active, community, family, cooking especially healthy options, wine. Memorizing poetry to recite in different venues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended 70 births in the role of apprentice midwife - very exciting and beautiful to hold a brand new baby in one's arms.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Beekeeping, cooking, how to install an electric fence, herbal medicine and herbs for cooking.

Learn: Spanish and French; how to be a really good traveler; making jewellery; recovering furniture.
