About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Buy the ticket, take the ride.

ABOUT ME

I'm a journalist by trade, but a writer at heart. I love having conversations about politics and the economy, yet somehow these conversations usually always occur in the middle of a packed dance floor on a hazy weekend night. I actually just love the art of conversation, period. I'd like to think I have an excellent sense of humor, but you can be the ultimate judge. If you're at all interested in literature or film, we could probably be best friends. I don't sleep a lot and I like to stay out late. Don't be a stranger.

PHILOSOPHY

"I have a theory that the truth is never told during the nine-to-five hours."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm interning in Brussels for the next three months with three other girls. We have an apartment in Ixelles and we're looking to explore. Hosting is certainly an option, but, as broke college students, we're definitely focused on travelling cheaply and making new friends in the process.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roommate Christine and I have hosted numerous people in our small apartment. Seems like we have a new person every week, ha! Took a trip to Manchester the first weekend of October for the Warehouse Project and stayed with some awesome people (Scott Munro, look him up!)—such an incredible time.

Interests

music, art, being outside, strange food, new people, different cultures, literature, film, caffeine, writing, not sleeping, dancing, festivals...not getting carpal tunnel because this list could literally go on forever...

Favorite music genres (naming artists would take a solid 24 hours): UK dubstep, house, grungier rock (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Black Angels, Death From Above 1979, etc.), dance-punk (LCD Soundsystem, etc.), acid rock (Pink Floyd), hip hop (Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, etc.), EDM

Top-five favorite movies (excluding documentaries): American Psycho, Rules of Attraction, Coffee and Cigarettes, A Clockwork Orange, Reservoir Dogs

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. President Obama getting elected in 2008.
2. Paul Ryan being an actual human being.
3. A bee stung me under my tongue when I was, like, 10.
