ABOUT ME

I am a media buyer (advertising) in Chicago and have the pleasure of working right in the heart of the city. It's beautiful and I am having the time of my life, but I am taking a break for 6 months to move to Buenos Aires.
When I am there I am hoping to perfect my Spanish through classes, volunteer, and do a bit of traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

There will always be a reason not to do something, but I feel the real challenge is making your goals and dreams happen. It's easy to make excuses and worry, but the challenge is moving past that and going after what you want..even if you make a mistake or two along the way.

I have not yet used Couchsurfing, but I'm excited to start!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never hosted or couchsurfed..yet.
When I moved to Chicago, I didn't know anyone and I was completely lost. My coach introduced me to a girl he couchsurfed with a couple years ago and she instantly became my good friend here in Chicago. I love the connections that are possible through hanging out with strangers.

Interests

- Muay Thai Kickboxing, but I am going to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu soon
- TaeKwonDo - I did that for most of my life, but recently decided to take a break
- Cooking..I'm pretty damn good at it!
- Trying new things..I know that sounds generic, but I will try almost anything once: Trapeze, curling, Cheer-obix, jumping into a frozen lake...
- Enjoying a beer while hanging out with good friends or getting to know future friends..if there is a grill, that makes things even better too :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Muse is probably my favorite band because of their live show. I've seen them 5 times and each time is like being in a dream.
It would take me forever to list the music that I listen to, but my real passion is seeing it live. I'm open to all types of music (except metal..I just don't get it)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff diving off the coast of Northern Italy..my version of heaven on earth

Martial arts - I'd be more than happy to teach some self-defense moves or give an introduction to Muay Thai or TaeKwonDo
