Whenever I'm not working I love to catch up with friends while doing a myriad of things: chatting over drinks at a local bar, hiking, going to the movies, or checking out shows around the city, etc.

Because one of my favorite things in the world is to travel and meet new people! Plus, there's no better way to travel than to see everything through the eyes of a local.

I grew up with a very open home, always having friends of friends of friends coming to visit and crashing on our couch for a couple of days. I always had such a fantastic time meeting people from all over the world that I've truly taken that lifestyle to heart. Doing something so simple as providing a place to stay for a night can sometimes lead to some incredible friendships

On a school trip in China, my friends and I got separated from our group and without being able to speak any Chinese, we managed to talk to people and find our way back to the hotel.

While it doesn't seem like much now, we were a group of teenagers, pretty much being led by the hand throughout the entire trip, suddenly stuck on our own with nothing more on us than a wallet, phone, and room key. We were pretty impressed with ourselves tbh
