Overview
About Me
I have decided to live my life unconventionally. From March 2015 through May 2015, I will be taking a semester away from school to live in and travel around Europe! My incredible adventure will begin in Sweden and take me different places like Prague, Budapest, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Brussels, and several more! I am inspired by the stories of others, eager to learn about other cultures, and even more so excited to watch my story unfold. I consider myself an old soul with a daring sense of adventure. I believe it is the paths of others we cross that shape who we are. My experiences in my life thus far have allowed me to evolve into a charismatic, compassionate, creative, and curious person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find it incredibly important to integrate myself as much as possible into the lifestyles and cultures that other people around the world live. I firmly believe that Couchsurfing will force me out of my comfort zone, allow me to meet people from all walks of life, learn from them and their stories, become more culturally aware, and ultimately be more appreciative of each of these cultures. The relationships that I develop during my journey will allow me to do all of these!
Interests
I am an urbanite, foodie and explorer who is inspired by design, politics, giving back, traveling, black & white photos and great conversations. I enjoy reading, doing yoga, drinking tea, meeting people, and eating really good food.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a sucker for a good documentary, but enjoy a good chick flick or horror movie too. I like reading books that are purposeful; that teach me something. I like music of many genres; pop, country, jazz, alternative.. I like it all!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Get accepted into college. (Kidding! Although that was great too..) A couple years ago, I participated in a mission trip to Chuburna, Mexico. During this trip, I was able to help make and put roofs on houses in this small, remote village. The experience was incredibly rewarding, as it really made me change the way I see the world. A roof, a common thing I had taken for granted, was something that these people were overwhelmed with gratitude to receive. The mix of sadness, happiness, relief, and thankfulness in the eyes of each family we helped exposed me to another world and gave me a new set of eyes that have since allowed me to see things differently.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH: What I have and desire to teach others is how to see the world differently. I think the world could be a little better of a place with some more compassion, patience, acceptance, understanding, and listening. Some other things I can teach include creative design, strategic marketing, beginners French and Spanish, photography, politics in the United States, how to sew, and effective communication.
LEARN: I am eager to learn about the lives of others, the stories that inhabit them, the experiences they've endured. I am like a sponge when it comes to learning, and I genuinely find excitement with it!
SHARE: What I have to share is that of my own life experiences, stories, and a place to stay if you ever find yourself in the Minnesota (United States).
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I have to offer hosts is my charismatic, genuine, funny, and respectful personality. I am able to share the knowledge I have come to know, the experiences I have come to live, and although I am still young, I consider myself a well-rounded individual with an open mind. I am willing to share anything in my grasp, and even a place to stay if you ever decide to visit Minnesota!
