About Me

I am a recent graduate from Cal Poly on the central coast of California. I got a degree in field and wildlife biology. I have a passion for birding, being outdoors, and traveling! I am a California native and have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my whole life. I am hoping to go to graduate school in the next couple years. Also, I'm a media-junkie: I love movies, music, tv, and books!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm embarking on a grand Europe trip and I am not really interested in just doing the standard tourist thing. I want to meet people and see the cultural aspects. I firmly believe that locals know all the best spots, and I hope to get a little slice of life from your perspective!

Interests

I love bird watching, hiking, and getting dirty outdoors. I'm also a big fan of good food, thrift shopping, and watching movies.

My love of movies is far and wide. I can name almost any actor, based on a few characteristics and a title of a movie they've been in. I am 3 movies away from having seen all Top 100 movies put out by the American Film Institute.

In the past few years, I've started taking dance classes, and have really fallen in love with that. Before that, I just loved to dance for fun, now I'm learning techniques.

I am big music-worshipper. My goal is to find a least one artist from every genre that I enjoy. So far, I can say I like everything from country bluegrass to hip hop to early synth and dream pop!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked on a bunch of different field projects studying (and handling) everything from rattlesnakes to owls. I can regale you with tales from the field!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the proper technique for holding snakes, lizards, birds, and much more. I can also teach you how to identify birds and take you bird watching!

I have lots of movie recommendations for anything you would ever be in the mood for.

I love embroidery and can show you a couple of easy stitches that will enable you to do just about anything!

I've recently learned quite a bit about making jams, canning, pickling, and gardening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a pretty good cook and baker. I make an awesome sausage, kale and potato soup or some tasty stuffed baked ziti.

I can help keep your place clean and I am happy to help out with anything around the house!
