About Me
CURRENT MISSION
For many years I have dreamed of travelling through Europe, and this May of 2016 I will be taking off to London to begin my adventure! Part self-exploration and part cultural immersion experience, this (hopefully) year long trip stands as an opportunity for me to burst my comfort zone bubble and truly experience what life has to offer.
ABOUT ME
My family and friends would likely describe me as relentlessly positive. No matter what life throws at me, I always do my utmost to look on the bright side.
I also consider the capacity to be flexible an important quality I have come to appreciate in myself. This has allowed me to understand and be open towards different points of view and experience, instead of stubbornly fixating on my own views and ideas.
I am also extremely trustworthy, with "I trust you" being one of the highest compliments I feel I can give.
However, at the end of the day, I like to live by the three Canadian stereotypes I have heard from everyone everywhere: I am polite, I am multiculturaly open, and I really do say eh, a lot.
PHILOSOPHY
If your dream doesn't scare you a little, it isn't big enough.
Live and let live
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I consider human kind just one big family and I think of couchsurfing as a way of really getting back that sense of community. I'm just happy to be a part of it!
I'm also on Couchsurfing because I don't want to only be an onlooker in my travels, I want to be immersed into the culture and what better way than to actually spend time with the locals!
Interests
Mastering the harmonica has to be at the top of my list
Being out in nature.
I like being invited to things I wouldn't normally think of and meeting new, interesting people
I enjoy hanging out with old dogs (and cats too, I don't discriminate).
I also love listening to music (I'm looking at you Matt Anderson!)
I am also a huge Supernatural fan (the American TV show) and miss Bobby Singer more than certain dead relatives of mine....
All in all though, this world has so much to give and I just want to experience what it has to offer!

Music, Movies, and Books
For books: "Cloud Atlas" is #1, then "Watershipdown," "Wuthering heights" (I read that one at least one per year), and anything by William Blake but especially "Tyger, Tyger". I also like reading non-fiction books on foreign countries.
Music: Muse, David Bowie, Queen (I love my power ballads!) and, more recently, Matt Anderson. I have rather eclectic music tastes so this is a rather limited list; I could go on for paragraphs!
