Overview
About Me
Tony Robins once said; "Live like it’s your last day on earth, love like you’ve never been hurt, dance like nobody’s watching, work like you don’t need the money…" and that pretty much describes how I think, feel and behave. I try to keep the child in me and enjoy life as much as possible. I'm also very open minded and laid back.
CURRENT MISSION
Teaching German to Filipino nurses bound to work in Germany.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything happens for a reason!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to host people in my home town, Berlin and met many interesting people that way. I even became very good friends with a couple of them and we're still in touch and visit each other from time to time.
I think Couchsurfing is a good way to see any part in the world with local eyes and get a good understanding of local culture.
I couchsurfed myself for a couple of city trips within Europe, the ASEAN region, Japan & China and wouldn't want to miss one experience.
Interests
I truly love music and would probably not survive a single day without.
When living in London a few years back I went to concerts at least twice a month, sometimes even twice a week. Truly miss those times.
I'm also very much into house/techno music and love having a good open air rave/festival boogie in the sun.
Ooh and maybe I should mention, that I love discovering places by cycle (Going lost on a bicycle is just the best thing . I discovered so many wicked things that way.)
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have movie genres I like the most, but in general I prefer alternative films like Donnie Darko, Candy, Trainspotting, Hard Candy, Tracey Fragments, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine oooh and anything by WES ANDERSON!
I like indie music (shoegaze) as well as minimal, techno, house. Depending on the mood I'm in. In general I'd say I'm pretty much open for any kind of music as long as it has love & soul.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's just too many! Let me cut it down to two:
- Walking the Great Wall of China
- Seeing the moon setting in the sea on an island in the Philippines
What I Can Share with Hosts
The travel experience I've made so far. Seeing different cultures and approaches of dealing with every day life. I've got so many travel stories to tell :)
I'm also happy to teach you a little German, should you be interested in. Having lived in England for nearly 4 years and Australia for a year, I'd say my English is pretty good too. So I'm happy to help out teaching English too.
