Overview
About Me
Performance artist, connection-finder, and kindness-spreader. I'm also a certified yoga teacher (though I tend to call myself "yoga and meditation guide" because I feel that's a better descriptor and also I'm weird with titles that come from certificates moderated by a single entity); Ayurveda-advising and dream-interpreting hobbyist; and eternal philosophy student. My motto is "Be a PAL...live with Passion, Authenticity, and Love."
I play the ukulele, all the time forever, and you can usually see me with at least one, usually my baby blue soprano, Lulu. She's a pretty little lady, my ukuLululele...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet new people; try new food and gift meals to new friends; nourish my wanderlust and then return to the bosom of the Midwest. Also, I'm a performer and sometimes do mini-tours. :)
Interests
I have too many. I love to learn. I experience obsessive-compulsive disorder to a fault when left to my own devices (i.e., all the Wikipedia tabs evar...well, that, and getting lost in my own mind and forgetting to eat or get sunlight outside my house that day...) Tell me YOUR interests! :D

Music, Movies, and Books
Gaaah, I'm bad at choosing favourites!!
I like--or can at least appreciate--almost all music. Subject matter that leans too materialistic/sexist/supports-crappy-stereotypes (especially anything about queer culture gorRAMMIT, Katy Perry...!!) I will probably steer clear from.
Movies are pretty much the same as music. I really appreciate fantasy, historical settings, animation, the strange and supernatural, and anything with queer folks and/or folks of something other than purely-European descent playing lead roles (as long as the story isn't the same ole thing as always).
Boooooks! I *love* reading, and I have heaps of books on my Bookshop.org wishlist. That said, most of my daily reading is contained in graphic novels/manga and online in the form of news, webcomics, and blogs. I have a few solid favourite books that I have worn thin through the years; it's like I'm suspicious of books that aren't at least two decades old... XD
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Uuuuummm...Iiiii am not great at boasting, but I guesssss...I've played ukulele for small crowds on the island of Eleuthera: at the Pineapple Festival and in my friend Terry's dome home. ^_^
