About Me

My legal name is Martin Rosenthal, and I'm a semi-retired high school English teacher, deeply immersed in the Vedas of India and world literature and art in general. I'm a vegetarian, and am open and spiritually minded, appreciating many different peoples faiths.

I still often work as a substitute teacher, and I own and manage rental property, sing, dance, act, write poetry and fiction, play flute and piano as well as mridanga drum. I rarely listen to or watch the popular media, but I do research topics of interest.

I am an amateur jyotish (Ancient East Indian Astroliger) and have done hundreds of horoscopes for friends and acquaintances.

I think Tulsi Gabbard is the best Presidential candidate I have ever heard in my 72 years of life.

I've written two autobiographical fiction novels, available on Amazon.com, under my pen name, Phillip Ahtmann or as my own name, Martin Rosenthal: The English Teacher and The Golden Avatar, and Short Stories From Renaissance High.

One way to get to know me is to read one of my novels, available at the links below. I'm currently working to publish a collection of poetry.

Looking forward to meeting you.

I have self published a few books on Amazon.com, sometimes as Martin Rosentha or my pen name Phillip Atmann:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I collected water from a mountain spring, Vishnu Paduka, in the mountainous jungle above Buddha Nila Kantha, north of Kathmandu, Nepal.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes. I'm open to it all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've taught High School English for many years. I'm an intelligent conversationalist with insights into the Vedic culture of India, including Sanskrit, Jyotish (Vedic astrology), and Krishna bhakti. I have occasionally interviewed friends and acquaintances in preparation to write their autobiographies, and I hope to expand this avocation. I'm a good vegetarian cook, play a little piano and flute, and I often meditate. I also like to come with offerings of fruit and/or nuts for my hosts.
