About Me

I'm an energetic, sociable and outgoing person. I'm happiest when I'm busy and around like minded people. I make the most of life and enjoy adventuring to new places, meeting new people and having fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people and having been helped out by couchsurfers on a few of my own travels so I'd like to repay the favor and make other travellers' journeys more fun in my own home country!

I also travel a little throughout the year and so like to couchsurf and meet new fun people.

I'm looking to base myself in France this year to learn French through immersion. Having travelled independently a lot I am used to adjusting to new environments quickly. I am a trustworthy person and have been brought up to respect people's homes and the rules of their house. So I hope that I would be a pleasure to have in your home as a couchsurfer.

Interests

I am a BIG foodie! I appreciate a good meal and enjoy trying new foods. I also like cocktails and am trying to master a few of my favs.

I used to practice martial arts and tried to get back into them recently by training in Muay Thai in Thailand a few times, which I loved! I'd like to keep this up by joining a club and would love to travel to other countries to learn their martial arts including BJJ in Brazil, Kung Fu in China and Karate in Japan (although I also like the idea of training to be a ninja in Japan).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my first year in uni I joined the skydiving club with my best friend and we did an unassisted jump on her birthday in Belfast! It was an amazing feeling although I didn't quite follow the protocol as my feet left the safety of the plane - apparently forming a "de-arch" with "no count" as I descended. I then landed rather close to a hedge which the parachute unfortunately got tangled in. I loved the experience but unfortunately my performance hasn't led me to be contacted by the SAS.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a native English speaker so I can help to improve the English of non-native speakers.

I've been learning French for a few years and am at a conversational level so anyone who's willing to practice with me please get in touch!
