I go by Maddie and am currently living in Bend OR, with plans to move to Colorado this summer. I’ve been teaching skiing and snowboarding for 6 years and work various different jobs in the summer season. I have a 3 year old dog named Hank. Snowboarding is my passion and I try to get to the mountain as much as possible. I also enjoy hiking and backpacking, rock climbing (novice) and mountain biking (beginner). When I’m not outside, I enjoy drinking beers at the bar, reading, or watching tv.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see new places through the eyes of a local and to save $ which allows me to travel more. Take me to your favorite bar, first round on me! Hoping to find myself in a situation soon where I can host surfers as well.
I’ve also been enjoying the Couchsurf hangouts where I’ve met some really cool people.

Summited the highest peak in the continental US 3x. Mt Whitney 14,505 ft in California.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share funny stories of my time as a backpacking guide in Yosemite or help you practice English (which I’ve noticed a lot of people on here are looking for). I’m not great in the kitchen but I’m happy to buy some beer for your fridge or provide a bottle of wine!
