我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

as i'm sure is everyone else, i'm here to meet people i probably wouldn't in my day-to-day life. not just to use someone's couch, although that does come in handy from time to time, but to get a feel for their culture and lives.
and more! couch surfing itself and events are great ways to learn to trust people and take on the responsibility of them trusting you, which is particularly scary but useful for mildly shy personalities such as myself.

兴趣

like i said, i'm a dance-a-holic.
if i ever find time outside of work and dance, i tend to binge-watch tv series :P i'm also an avid eater. and i almost forgot, but i read fantasy books as well once in a blue moon. i like to be outside on sunny, or at least warm, days with people that are easy to talk to. i used to do a lot of jivamukti yoga, and i can only recommend it!
do i need to say that i enjoy traveling? probably not.

well i did master the german language to the point that the germans think i'm one of them, but i think that was more luck than actual skill.
it all happened after i moved to germany 4 days after graduating high school with $700 in my pocket and no clue what i was doing. 9 years later, i'm still alive and have a masters degree in my pocket.

i have a lot of experience teaching english and german to kids and adults, super beginner to people who didn't even need me, except to maybe boost their self confidence.
i can now also teach kizomba, bachata, salsa, and a general love for music and dance!
what i'd like to learn? everything. but for now, maybe some different (traditional?) dance styles, cooking more interesting food, how to make useful things, how to pack more efficiently ;-), anything about nutrition, your native language, how your society works, and the name of your cat.
i will share anything and everything i have if that makes both of us happy!

dear hosts, i would love to share my knowledge of dance and sociological perspective on western society with you, if you're interested. i can also share a lot of smiles and hugs, help around your place, tell some funny and not so funny stories, lend a good ear to listen to your stories, and a critical mind. we can share yummy food, too! and any general life or traveling hacks in addition to a language swap.
