I am a special education teacher in Austin, Texas taking time off to travel. I’m not great at describing myself and find about me sections extremely awkward to write haha. I’m always down for live music, outdoor activities, or grabbing a beer/ glass of wine! While I’m country hopping I love meeting fellow travelers as well as locals.
I’m extremely interested in learning about different cultures, seeing live music, learning new styles of dance, any type of outdoor activities, visiting museums or art exhibits, and of course trying all of the delicious food from each country.

I love to meet people while I travel. I typically stay at hostels but I’m really interested in branching out more and joining the Couchsurfing community. I’d love to be able to start hosting others, but at the moment I don’t have a permanent residence.

Complete music junkie! I listen to a wide variety of music but alt rock is my favorite genre. I live in a city huge for live music so I love everything from listening to street performers, hanging out at shows at dive bars, to going to huge music festivals.

I’ve come to the realization that I haven’t seen nearly as many movies as most people. Netflix is definitely my jam. I tend to get hooked on a show, binge watch it, and then try to avoid getting sucked into the black hole that is Netflix haha.

I love to read! My favorite author is Jodi Picoult and I tend to read a lot of books that are loosely based around court cases. I’m trying to break out of my typical genre so if you have any suggestions throw them my way.

I drove from London to Mongolia with three friends this summer while participating in Mongol Rally. Definitely had some wild experiences on the road!
