About Me

Hi! I enjoy exchanging stories and experiencing, learning from other people, playing video games, biking, natural building, and I'm currently aiming to begin a journey of both becoming an electrician and getting my pilot's license :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am trying to find my passion for travel again. Ever since Covid, I feel like it has waned tremendously but it is simply not me to be as sedentary as I have been. To be frank, I'm looking for inspiration to get back into it. Hearing people's stories, their travels, the things they've seen.. surely that will bring my travel bug back. Have you done a long distance motorcycle trip? A long journey solely by train? Have you been in a hot air balloon? Met some kind or crazy locals somewhere remote? I'm on here to find hosts for sure, but also even if people just want to message and exchange stories and experiences, my ears and inbox are wide open.

I'm also not a fan of where I live, but am not sure where I'd like to move. I plan to go to the areas I have in mind soon to check out, and would love to hear from a local about how it is living there. Portland and San Diego are at the top of my list at the moment. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled from Tokyo to Osaka on an old, heavy, rusty bicycle I got for $50. I didn't train a single day beforehand, and it had probably been about a year since I'd even been on a bike. My route was planned solely by hot springs I wanted to visit. I did the whole thing in jeans and boots, in the summer. My rear brake was out for half the trip, front one out for the last quarter, I'm directionally challenged, and always slept in leading to a lot of questionable night riding down mountains not being able to use the brakes, and once almost slamming head first into a bear. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
