Overview
About Me
Home has been flexible over the last handful of years. I'm a climber, board game player, would be traveler, vegetarian of 20 years, older brother and van dweller. I value the gypsy lifestyle, but do my very best to maintain roots in the Pacific Northwest where I'm from. They say i'm "laid back," I agree, but can get caught up the the competitive spirit. Finding the balance in life seems to be my mission. But i'm open to suggestions!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hostels are nice, houses are better. I'd like to meet the people who actually live in the places that I go, and save some coin while i'm there. That doesn't mean I wont make you dinner.
Interests
Rock climbing is my main passion, but I grew up skiing. I'm an athlete who enjoys sitting down and playing a 5 hour board game, my first and favorite game is chess. I love chess. Good food and interesting people always make me happy. I enjoy a good, fat fantasy book and indoor fireplaces. Spending time outside and playing games will win me over every time.

Music, Movies, and Books
My tastes are too eclectic and my memory too bad for favorites. I'll name a few of each that where transformative. I can learn to like most things, and will happily tolerate those that I do not.
Enders game by Orson Scott Card (book)
Dystopian sci-fi books with a sense of humor
Avatar the Last Airbender (show)
American History X (Movie)
Anything by Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli
Movies with Ed norton and Leonardo DiCaprio are always good, Kiera knightly is lovely
I've been really enjoying music lately, classic and folk rock, funk and R&B, hip hop (but only the nice stuff). Anything with great strong vocals or a sweet bass solo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A backflip, I was amazed.
Teach, Learn, Share
Those are all great things to do... I'm good at sharing and value those who share as well, be it their space, possessions or their skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Meals, leaving things cleaner than I found them, beer and helping you get excited about your city.
