Music, Movies, and Books

I am constantly reading novels. I prefer historical fiction, fantasy, memoirs, autobiographies, short stories. My current favorites are "Let the Great World Spin" by Colum McCann, "Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookshop" by Robin Sloan and "White Teeth" by Zadie Smith.
Movies are another life form. Top ten is constantly rotating, but some recent ones include: Obvious Child, Wish I Was Here, Brooklyn, Wayne's World (always), Goodfellas, Children of Men, Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
I love going to shows, and Brooklyn has been a great place to see some wonders. Future Islands, Bat for Lashes, Mother Mother, the Black Keys. Favorite music of all time is probably Simon and Garfunkel.
Sorry this is really long - I like storytelling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkling on the beaches of Costa Rica and petting a baby octopus.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love baking for people and have decent experience with gluten-free recipes. Happy to teach children crafts and songs. Sharing opinions and ideologies with openminded people. Can probably teach you a game you don't know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a lively conversationalist. I love to discuss all things and remain open-minded. Late night talks around dining room tables are a favorite pastime. I am happy to help cook and clean, and am a decent baker. Quality additional voice in a group jam session.
