About Me

Hi! I'm Madison. I live in Michigan. I'm into hiking and biking, local food, cross country skiing in the winter and hanging at Lake Michigan in the summer. I'm involved in a community improv group here because I can't think of a better way to spend your time. I'm a deeply curious person and will get right in there to get to know you, but a deep believer in boundaries too. On a never ending quest to understand myself and find that meeting new people seems to help us all do that.

Open to friendship, but leave romance at the back door pls 🤗

In Europe mid-October through early December

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I've been listening to a lot of reggae and pop punk queens from the early 2000s. 90.7 NMC in Traverse City kills it, Fip radio is my go-to and an old friend in Marseille turned me on to Radio Grenouille which is great for streaming. Films and books are a long list. Some of my recent favorite movies are Minari and The Hand of God. For reading I honestly predominantly read cook books but I also love the publication Plough Shares. My sister provides me with an endless stream of fiction suggestions, most recently I read "Beautiful World, Where Are You"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I sat next to Bob Seger's manager at a college football game and he let me keep his hat?? But camping in the Queyras was a real treat and such a special memory. We brought merguez sausage and fashioned a campfire grill out of found wire and a mouse ate all our cantaloupe. When we woke up the mountains were looming all around us in the sunrise. Surreal

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and I'm happy to share a meal! And as someone who has worked with children I have a few good games up my sleeve. Going for a nature walk is also fun, I'll seldom turn down a card game, and karaoke and dancing are two things that fill my whole body with joy. Plus improv games of course.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, a meal, a walk, a talk, a round on me. Language exchange (French or English) or maybe a craft or garden project :)
