About Me

Hey, my name is Jean (my first name is Madison but i dont use it anymore), I’m an American traveling about. So far I've been to Portugal, Spain, Canada, Alaska, France, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cambodia, Poland and Holland. I’ve motorbiked all the way through Vietnam and some of Cambodia. Now I am bicycling through Europe. I really enjoy staying in one place and really getting to know it. I'm pretty laid-back and easy to talk to, so I suppose I've got that going for me. My favorite color is red. I am a musician and I travel with my handpan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to go to the events and meet new people, and challenge myself to speak different languages + learn more about them. Everything from the food, the clothes, the accents from other people really fascinate me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - any musical soundtrack, movies - star wars (all of them!)

books - anything by kurt vonnegut and poetry by sylvia plath. I always carry a few books around with me so just let me know if you want to read something neat!

I do like horror movies a bit, but I won't watch them if someone else isn't comfortable with them. I just think they are so funny because they're so dramatic and over-the-top. I also love a good rom-com every now and then (or even a bad one if I'm being honest.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved a 15-year-old girl from being swept down a river.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of traveling stories: weird people, funny times, good places, etc. I know how to play guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele and I'd be stoked to have a jam session.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
