About Me

HEY! Currently traveling pilgrim style around the world for an indefinite period of time, travel blogging, working side jobs and volunteering with my best friend Susana from Mexico. We are two girls who have studied Design and Economics around the world (France, USA, Brazil, Chile, Cayman Islands, Mexico) and we LOVE learning about the history, language, people and customs of the cities we visit to be able to write about it afterwards and make cross-cultural comparisons. We want to get to know our hosts and all about their lives and their local customs!

We love anthropology, language, philosophy, history, design, art and economic development. We think traveling is about exploration and adventure and NOT relaxation, so we are down for all kinds of experiences- hikes, swimming, dancing, parties, museums, cooking, meditation, rituals, whatever. We are very open people and like to discuss anything and everything. We are also part-time language teachers- and we are more then happy to share (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, some German and some Italian) and would LOVE to learn your language!

Personal interests and studies include political trends and development of Latin America, world history and dance, etymology, and sustainable agriculture.

If you want to check us out or where we have been so far, you can check out @atlist_travel! We are still in the beginning process of starting the blog!

OUR NEXT STOP: Volunteering in a food forest in an Israeli Kibbutz!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly we don't think that there is any better way to get to know a city!
I love hosting people on and off of couchsurfing, showing them around, and then making friends all around the world. The more diverse people you meet, the more you learn to love the world and all of the crazy different people in it! I think couchsurfing is one of the most amazing inventions of our generation, that allow people to travel longer and better and less expensively, while simultaneously making the experience more enriching! Hopefully we meet some amazing people on our trip and are able to make an impact on their life.

I would love to host people but am currently HOMELESS- so when I get settled down (probably in New Zealand) I will start hosting surfers!

Interests

I love getting outside while traveling, walking EVERYWHERE, playing sports, hiking, DANCING, playing, swimming, cliff diving, trying new foods, drinking local liquors/wine/beer, our just staying in and having a great night with my host, learning about their lives.
Meeting new people is the best part about traveling, and it is what always pushes me forward!
