Overview
About Me
Hello wonderful hosts and travelers!
My name is Madison, and I love learning, connecting with people, and traveling for long periods of time with no plans whatsoever.
I graduated from university with a degree in Political Science. Specifically, I studied the Middle East, and I have a particular interest in Persian history, politics, literature, and Farsi. I love talking to people about their political views, and how they perceive America/Americans (as we can always learn from outside perspectives and improve).
My previous jobs include: teaching English to middle schoolers, teaching US Citizenship classes to adults, wedding/events photography, and statistical research. In the future, I see myself studying immigration and migration policy, and/or pursuing a career with a nonprofit.
Besides traveling, I am very passionate about music, dancing, photography, writing, reading, and teaching.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an experienced ESL tutor, and am happy to practice English with anyone/answer any questions about English that you may have.
If you are interested in swing dancing, I would love to help you learn the basics and we can dance around your house/apartment or go out on the town to show off your new dance skills.
Please let me help you with dinner/dishes/folding laundry while I am a guest in your home. If you need help with anything, just ask :)
Finally, I am a photographer that specializes in portraiture--please let me know if you would like to do a short session with me (headshots, a new profile picture, etc).
In addition to the skills listed above, I am, of course, willing to share myself with my hosts. That means that I will not view this experience as *just* a free place to stay--I look forward to having meaningful conversations with you, learning about your culture, and making happy memories in your lovely city!
