About Me

I am a very friendly and outgoing person, but I like my privacy also. I love reading, writing, drawing, and painting. I want to travel the world and meet many different people. I love to learn and discover the world around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to discover the world from the perspective of locals. Plus, I love to make to new friends as I travel!!

Ok so on a side note-I run a travel blog and I love telling the stories of people from around the world. So if I stay with you and you have a story to tell or would be interested in being featured, I will photograph and write about you. But only if you want :)

Interests

I am very creative and love the fine arts. I also enjoy good coffee, long books, beaches, and days where I don't get out of my pjs. I greatly enjoy discussing art, literature, and philosophy and once in a while politics. Many of my best memories have been of walking for hours and getting lost in new cities--that or simply having a great conversation with a friend over an cup of tea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love too many books to pick!!

Rock and Indie music is my favorite, and I listen to a lot of stuff that was created before I was born. I've been told that I have dad taste in music--whatever that means :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was awestruck when I saw Paris from the top of Montmartre. Or maybe my best travel memory is attending a Cambodian wedding and dancing the night away. Or maybe it is seeing the White Temple in Thailand and having the breath leave my body. But if we're talking about art, when I first viewed Michelangelo's David in Florence, I lost all sense of self...

I took a huge trip when I was 18, before going to university, and I learned a lot, traveling on my own and paying for everything independently. I met so many amazing people and saw tons of beautiful sights. Now I can't seem to stop traveling!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning new languages is always fun, but I also like to learn about other cultures and people. I love to learn, and always do my best to be open to new things and perspectives, so I'd be happy to learn whatever you have to teach.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a few things about painting, drawing, and other artwork. I bind my own books to use for sketchbooks, so if anyone ever wanted to learn bookbinding, I'm your girl. I also can sew and adore baking sweet treats. There's plenty more little things that I can share: history, recipes, and book recommendations being a few.

Also if you would like a portrait drawn or a scene in your town painted, I'd be happy to create a masterpiece for you!
