About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn, listen, share, smile.
ABOUT ME
In the outdoors, I'd like to learn more about wilderness survival, rock climbing, camping, farming, building things, primitive lifestyles, yoga and meditation. If in a city, I like to see the architecture, side streets, dive bars, and of course museums. I am always up for local food + drink and local music in whatever place I am in.
I will always geek out on geological interests, nature, the obscure, absurd, and the slight macabre.
PHILOSOPHY
Love is my religion.
"I — I hardly know, sir, just at present — at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then." - Alice
"Everything in moderation, including moderation." - Oscar Wilde
"It is better to be alone, than in bad company." - George Washington
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I believe most people are good, and want to prove it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've slept in many strange places. Official couchsurfing has been limited, however, I have been welcomed by and enjoyed meeting many lovely people, the world over.
Interests
I love and am bewildered by nature and art. I love sharing stories and the art of storytelling. I enjoy learning about other cultures. It is fun to learn new ideas and philosophies. I really love people watching. I am in awe of people and their motivations for whatever it is that they do. I am always interested in some tea, dancing, music, freedom.

Music, Movies, and Books
Edna St. Vincent Millay, Siddhartha, rock star biographies, short stories, scientific journals, poetry, documentaries, investigative journalism.
Motown, funk, rock, indie, folk, country, international.
"All music is folk music, I ain't never heard no horse sing a song." - Louis Armstrong
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was thrown from a horse on Block Island, Rhode Island, twice. The second time it nearly rolled on top of me while almost kicking me in the head. I think it is amazing I got up unscathed. I'm also not sure if I should feel proud or foolish for getting back on that horse and riding it back, but you know how the saying goes...
Kayaked to and camped on an island alone.
Does 8 months traveling without a cell phone count?
Conquered some of my fears.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn more about primitive lifestyles, wilderness survival, being outside. Making music, creating art. What your favorite tea is and how to brew a perfect cup. I want to learn how to sail.
I would love to have a conversation about geology, gemology, the weather, the ocean, coral reefs, animals, politics, religion, history, philosophy, sustainability, building, or whatever else might be interesting in that moment.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A wealth of conversation, laughs, a kind ear and good nature.
