Hi, I'm Madleina, a 28 year old sociology student from Germany. I'm coming to Glasgow for 4 months to study and am really excited to explore the city and Scotland. That's also why I can't host at the moment.

I'm into hiking (long distance as well as short hikes or short strolls, although Covid ruined the stroll thing a bit for me :D). I want to go on as many hikes as possible, when I'm in Scotland and am always looking for someone to join me!
I also love exploring the best cafés, bookstores and charity shops in a city - and am looking forward to see what Glasgow has in store. When staying in, I like to bake or to cook, or just discuss politics and how we can build a better and more just society (the small questions :D).
I also would love to be involved in some kind of activism (environment, feminist, housing etc.), so let me know, if you know something.
I also really like my subject of study, because I think it keeps me very open-minded and interested in different ways of living and understanding the world. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's great that there ist a non-commercial way to stay in a different city or country and meet and connect with new people. You get to experience different ways of living but also help build a network and make a step towards a less isolated society (I guess :)).
