ABOUT ME

Hello :)
I am Madlen and I grew up in a small village in the South of Germany near the Lake of Constance. After I've finished high school, I travelled around in South Africa, New Zealand and Thailand with a friend!
Before starting my studies in special education in Heidelberg, I spent one year in Kenya for a voluntary service in a school for mentally handicapped people!
Sometimes I just want to give up my studies and start travelling around again...but I try to travel around while holidays! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I made a wonderful experience with couchsurfing in South Africa and want to meet more people and get to know their culture and their lifes!

Interests

I really like to be creative do any kind of handicrafts like sewing, knitting, drawing, croquetting...and even more together with friends!
Besides, I like being outside, hiking and making bycicle tours around or just for a picknick!
I love my friends and spending time with them! Often we cook or bake tasty meals or cakes!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read any kind of books and a lot!
When I can't travel, I like to read books of other cultures or biographies of people who travelled around.

One of my favorite movies is Into the wild - you should watch this wonderful movie of travelling around!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Making a wonderful sunrise tour in a Kenyan rain forest:
Waking up very early in the morning, walking through the dark forest and listening to the animals waking up. After a long walk we watched the sunrise on top of a hill!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm good in cooking - espacially Swabian food (special food from the south of Germany)! I would like to cook for you Spätzle (noodles) if you like to!
